Effect points on my timeline:
Effect one:
From these before and after shots you can see how I have edited the colour and made colour correction. I wanted to make it look quite a cold colour and feel as it is a "Thriller" movie and I thought that it would fit in well. For this I used an effect called Lumeteri Colours and edited it to what it us below on the right, I used basic colour correction changing the exposure and brightness etc, I also used the colour wheels for mid tones etc.
Effect two:
For this effect I decided to have my title on a computer as I thought it would also help to get the Surveillance thriller genre across. This is also why I added in a glitch effect and camera recording. I did this by first taking a video of a macbook computer using a tripod and a DSLR, then I put it into a premiere project (sized it up). After this Using the glitch and camera effect I converted it from youtube then ultra keyed it to get rid of the green screen. Last of all the actual title I made in photoshop and thats how its 3d, then I exported it and added it in.

Effect three:

Here I wanted to include this at the start of my short film to really set the genre early showing that it is a Surveillance thriller as it looks like someone is being watched (Liv) thru security screens. First I converted a green screen security screens from youtube and used the ultra key effect to get rid of the green background. Next I adjusted the positioning of all shots with the motion tool to set it where I wanted it. After this I then used some transition effects from the different shots of Liv to make a smooth flow. Last of all I converted Tv static audio from youtube and used this to add effect, I also lowered it as it was too loud and audio faded it in with constant gain.
Effect Four:

With this effect at first I obviously colour graded it like the others to get that cold and grungy feel. Then I decided to add an effect in where it makes it look like a POV from a camera. I did this by again converting a green screen video from youtube and using ultra key to get rid of the green screen. After this I positioned it correctly with the motion tool. I wanted to add this effect in in the establishing shots to make them not as dull and boring and also to set the Surveillance genre.
Effect Five:

In this shot I used a camera shutter effect. What I mean by this is that I converted the audio then put it in at the right time when my character "George" takes photos. However, when I first put it in the sound was too loud so I decreased it with the bar as you can see from the screenshot on the right from my timeline.
The part of the process which I am most proud of would be the title and that is because I went into extra effort and detail for this as I had a vision for what I wanted and pursued that and I am proud of the outcome. I felt that the most difficult part of the project would be how to make the movie look like a surveillance thriller but I overcame this with the opening bit with the security computers and the camera recording and all of the other effects that I added in, but it was just hard to think of them. I have learned for my next project that when we are shooting we need more shooting time so the process can be more relaxed and we can get extra shots in. If I were to do this project again I would want to include some cctv looking shots but from above or a place where a camera would be placed. I will only be sharing this video to youtube but as unlisted so it can be seen by the teachers.
